Maria Balthasar is the young daughter of brilliant scientist and Gear designer Nikolai Balthasar and the granddaughter of "Old Man" Bal. Maria was born on the surface in the Terrane Area. When she was a little girl, she was captured by Solaris along with her mother (Claudia) and father and held hostage as incentive for Nikolai to construct a next-generation series of Wel-Gear hybrids. When the first model Seibzehn was created, Nikolai secretly programmed it to escape from Solaris and take Maria with it back to Shevat. Ever since, Maria and Seibzehn had been standing guard in Shevat and defending the aerial nation from anyone who would try to attack or approach it. Maria harbors a huge grudge toward Solaris and plans to someday take her revenge on the other aerial city, and save her father.
In battle, Maria herself is the weakest character to play with. Her attack power is terrible and her attacks look silly too as if you're witnessing a kid naively playing a game with the monsters. She is also incapable of performing deathblows and she takes big damage too. Her only saving grace lies in the fact that she can remotely call Seibzehn to perform some powerful attacks for her, including the Graviton Gun, which is the most powerful ether attack in the game. With her Gear, Maria is a force to be reckoned with.
Attacks
Maria has attack combinations too eventhough she doesn't have any deathblows. Her Triangle attacks however, look like desperate made attacks or child play. The Square deliver a punch and a kick but is as ridiculous as the Triangle. The X delivers a shocking punch but the damage appears as if to indicate it was mere static electricity.
Controls
Maria has the ability to remotely control Seibzehn and call it to fight for her. Maria's Control ability are all made up of attacks and can be classified as single, area, and all.
