Emeralda Kasim is an artificial lifeform made up of nanomachine colony, which was built by Kim Kasim (Fei Fong Wong’s second known incarnation) during the Zeboim era. She was made by Kim as a solution to the human race's declining population brought about by a genetic defect that rendered women barren. According to some sources, Emeralda was created with the help of Elly's (The Antitype) gene pattern. Emeralda's research was first aided by Miang, who commissioned Kim to advance his work on nanomachines in order to artificially enhance human evolution. But Kim took Emeralda out of the main research facility. When Miang knew what Kim did, she dispatched a special military force to seize Emeralda's tank. There is good reason to believe that Kim prevented his research from falling into the wrong hands by dismantling the nanomachines of which Emeralda was composed of; throwing Emeralda into a pseudo perpetual state. She stayed there for a long time until Fei and his team discovered her resting place.

Emeralda (like Citan) has two forms, but instead of the unarmed and sword-wielding Citan, Emeralda has the child and adult form. While in child form, Emeralda is incredibly fast, but this ability seems to disappear once she transforms into the adult form. In adult form, she gains stats far exceeding those of any other character, with most of her stats increasing upon level-up instead of only some. In both forms, Emeralda is strong when it comes to physical attacks and lethal with her ether attacks. This distinct combination of good physical skills and ether abilities pool on top of making her a great choice for on-foot combat as she seems to possess both of her surrogate parents' (Fei and Elly) traits.

Emeralda's adult form doesn't manifest until the Lighthouse side quest on disc 2 is completed. The side quest appears to be one of the hidden parts of the game as it is not normally integrated into the main story.

Attacks

There are different combinations to Emeralda's attack. Emeralda uses nanomachines to create weapons and the type of weapon she produce varies to the button that is pressed. The following will show how each button affect Emeralda's attack both in child and adult form:

Death Blows

Emeralda has only 10 deathblows with 3 of it as ether-imbued ones. Regardless of whether Emeralda is a child or an adult, she has the same deathblows only that it has different animations. (See Deathblow table for more info.)

Ether

Emeralda uses Ether that consumes EP. Emeralda is similar to Elly when it comes to ether abilities, that may be because she is derive from Elly's biological makeup, and for this, Emeralda possesses strong ether attacks rivaling or even exceeding that of Elly's.
